Going for a hike on the Mono Meadow Trail is always a good adventure, and Yosemite National Park is a good spot nearby. There are tremendous places to look at along the Chilnualna Fall Trail, obviously you could also pop by Minnow Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. You definitely have to fancy the Central Sierra Nevada. Buena Vista Pass is a magnificent location       to visit nearby, and there's whitewater on Merced River - South Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers. You can run the rapids of Big Creek in the neighborhood of Johnson Lake, and Yosemite Lodge at the Falls is a delightful spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Johnson Lake without first going for a hike along the Buena Vista Trail, and at Johnson Lake you can distinguish Buena Vista Peak. From a precipitation point of view Johnson                  Lake is a relatively normal site; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. Camping is available at Little Sandy Campground, and what would winter be without some skiing at Badger Pass. Johnson Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Johnson Lake. Summertime at Johnson Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Johnson Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
