While you're here at Joe Crane Lake you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1; Isberg Peak can be distinguished from Joe Crane Lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and everybody close by loves skiing at June Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2 will let you       absorb the natural beauty of this region. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Joe Crane Lake has to offer, you can camp at Granite Creek Campground. Any time is a fine time at Joe Crane Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Heidelberg Inn is a tremendous choice; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Clouds Rest Trail. Throughout the summertime, highs mostly are in the 90's at Joe Crane Lake.                  Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Joe Crane Lake.
