This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Joe Crane Lake you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1; Isberg Peak can be distinguished from Joe Crane Lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and everybody close by loves skiing at June Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2 will let you

| | absorb the natural beauty of this region. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Joe Crane Lake has to offer, you can camp at Granite Creek Campground. Any time is a fine time at Joe Crane Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. If you need a place to stay Heidelberg Inn is a tremendous choice; if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Clouds Rest Trail. Throughout the summertime, highs mostly are in the 90's at Joe Crane Lake. | |

Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Joe Crane Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek
offers some nice whitewater, and do explore McClure Lake, it's a striking lake. So much exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Near Joe Crane Lake you stumble on Isberg Pass which is a brilliant place
to stop at, and Mammoth Mountain Inn is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. The amount of rainfall that falls at Joe Crane Lake is close to the national average;
the month with most of the rain is January while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll locate a gorgeous lake called Ward Lakes near Joe Crane Lake. There's so much to do here at Joe Crane Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clover Meadow Campground is a fine place for that.
