Wildcat Meadow is a delightful place to stretch your legs a bit; skiing at Soda Springs is one of those things you just ought to do. Why not camp at Big Tree Grove Campground since you're here at Jerrys Pool, and while you're here, you might as well visit North       Wallace Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. Dry Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and the Ellicott Trail offers hiking at its best. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too tremendous to be true. A lake close by is Union Valley Reservoir; a spree to Desert Cold Spring will fill your soul with brilliant feelings. Jerrys Pool gets much water; through January this area sees the most rain while July is regularly the                  driest month. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Vista Overflow Campground is a delightful place to camp, and fine hiking is available along the Slide Point Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rubicon River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Stagecoach Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. If you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Jerrys Pool; Grey Trail is a delightful local trail. Summertime at Jerrys Pool arrives with high temperatures in the 90's with night lows in the 60's.
