California has many beautiful lakes and Jenks Lake is one of them. So many entertaining things to do in the San Bernardino Mountains, not enough time. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Big Bear Mountain Golf Course, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Forsee Creek Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful San Bernardino Mountains. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Jenks Lake.

| | Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two; hiking along the South Fork Trail is good fun. Any time is a splendid time at Jenks Lake if you like the outdoors. Everybody loves Barton Flats, and a good spot to camp here at Jenks Lake is Oso-Lobo Campground. This place, the San Bernardino Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Near Jenks Lake you hit upon Staircase Canyon which is a magnificent place to take a look at, and beautiful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you acquire at Snow Summit. During the warm months highs
here at Jenks Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Jenks Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous
nearby hotel is Best Western Big Bear Lake Chateau; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at San Y Ca Spring.
Jenks Lake is right by the San Bernardino Peak Divide Trail; if you like swamps you're in luck, Cienaga Grande
is right nearby. The annual precipitation here at Jenks Lake is about average; most of the rain falls through January; June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Council Campground is always a nice experience, and skiing at Bear Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do.
