Jenks Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Jenks Lake is located in the San Bernardino Mountains. A brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western Big Bear Lake Chateau, and a swamp like Cienaga Grande next to Jenks Lake has lots of interesting things to see. What a place this is for outdoors people. Bear Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and if you need a place to stay Big Bear Lake Cabins is a delightful choice.

| | you stumble on the San Bernardino Peak Divide Trail which is a fine hiking trail; wonderful skiing awaits you at Snow Summit. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff near Jenks Lake. Put some time aside to spend at San Y Ca Spring since you're here at Jenks Lake, and going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a great adventure. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the San Bernardino Mountains.

proximity to Jenks Lake called the Forsee Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Jenks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Mile High Pines is a glorious place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is
lots of fun at Big Bear Mountain Golf Course. Lakes? Sure, Simmons Trout Lake is in the vicinity. That right there is a load of entertaining things already but it goes on, the San Bernardino Mountains has it all. Staircase Canyon
is a pleasant location to spend some time at, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Dollar Lake.
You'll need more than a day to explore everything Jenks Lake has to offer, you can camp at Council
Campground, and Barton Flats is a fine location. The yearly precipitation here at Jenks Lake is about average; throughout January this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. You'll really wish for more hours
in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the San Bernardino Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try East Fork Barton Creek, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario for sure.
For the period of the warm days of summer here at Jenks Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Jenks Lake all through the winter commonly dip into the 20's.
