You absolutely must adore Lake Jean. A tremendous site to camp here at Lake Jean is Cowboy Country Campground; a great close by hotel is Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet Club. This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Rosa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Jean is right by the Aguanga Trail, and Swan Lake is a wonderful lake close by.

| | Trail is pleasant fun. Lakes? Sure, Lost Lake is in the neighborhood. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Santa Rosa Mountains. If you need a spot to stay Harrahs Rincon Casino and Resort is a good choice; Bear Canyon is also a magnificent spot to look at.

Lake Jean temperatures are typically in the 90's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 60's while Lake Jean night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's.

Tucalota Springs RV Park and Campground

We visited Tucalota Springs RV Park the first week-end in February 2007. We liked it a lot. It's a small campground but it is very clean. The sites are large to. All of the sites have fire pits and they have full hook ups. They also have tent areas. They have a store on the premises stocked with most of the items you may need while camping. There is a solar heated swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court and a couple of horseshoe pits. There are also trails to ride your bike on and there is a little lake for fishing. Its catch and release and you will need to purchase a license from their store for $5.00. You won't get cell phone service but if you feel like taking a nice walk up the hill there will be a bench waiting for you and you will get service there. The people who worked there were very friendly. We will definitely go back!... |
