Many people like to go to Jacks Lake. All through the days of summer at Jacks Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Jacks Lake temperatures drop to the 40's. Why not camp at Escondido RV Park if you're here at Jacks Lake; you're sure to come across some nice folks from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos here. Be careful coming

that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Jacks Lake. If you get bored of Jacks Lake, you could also check out close
by Pechstein Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Limited is a glorious site to spend a night or two. If you need a place to stay Best Western Escondido is a perfect choice, and don't leave Jacks Lake without first going
for a hike along the Magee Trail. Twin Oaks Valley is close to Jacks Lake and is a magnificent place, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Escondido Creek. There are great locations
to discover along the Mission Trail, and Escondido Country Club is a delightful golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Elfin Forest Vacation Ranch, and there's pleasant hiking along the Gomez Trail.
