A tremendous site for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Jabu Lake is American River - South Fork; if you came for an overnight stay Fortyfive Mile Campground is a great location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Pine Cone Acre Motel is a great place to get some rest, and Glen Alpine Spring is a beautiful location to have a look at while you're at Jabu Lake. Jabu Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.       So many cool things to do at Jabu Lake, so little time. Lake Margery is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; there's wonderful hiking along the Hawley Grade Trail. So much exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Dry warm beds await you at Pistantes Coyote Den. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Sayles Flat Campground since you're here at Jabu Lake; if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend Baldwin Beach.                  This location, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting things. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek - South Fork, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Windmiller Trail. The General Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can hit the slopes at Sierra at Tahoe close at hand. The amount of rainfall that falls at Jabu Lake is close to the national average; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This is a popular place for people from Gardnerville Ranchos; a great beach nearby is Kiva Beach. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Kirkwood, and you have to positively dedicate some time to Desolation Valley since you're here at Jabu Lake. Cracked Crag is beautiful and can be spotted from Jabu Lake, and if you get bored of Jabu Lake you could also visit close by Lake Lucille. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Jabu Lake while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's.
