If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Island Lake. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. During the long summer days at Island Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Island Lake during the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 30's. All year is a good time in the Coast Ranges if you have a thing

| | about the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Trace Creek offers some pleasant whitewater. Island Lake is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; throughout the month of December you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Cedar Rustic Campground is a good location for that, and do pop by Prescott Lake, it's a pretty lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too brilliant
to be true. Jedediah Mountain is wonderful and can be distinguished from Island Lake; Oregon Caves National Monument is one of the destinations that are great to visit nearby. There are pleasant sites to explore along the Summit Valley
Trail; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Hurdygurdy Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Island Lake has to offer, you can camp at Shady Bend RV and Mobile Park, and don't leave Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail.
