     Island Lake is located in the Coast Ranges. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Island Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Shady Bend RV and Mobile Park is a great place to camp nearby. While you're here at Island Lake you can take a hike along the Summit Valley Trail, and Hurdygurdy Creek is a fine whitewater spot close by.
A lot of rain falls at Island Lake; most of the rain falls through December; July is the month with the
 
   least moisture. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Clear Creek National Recreation Trail, and a splendid place for whitewater paddling is Trace Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Oregon Caves National Monument is recommended. Lakes? Sure, Prescott Lake is in close proximity.
Island Lake really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. The summit of Jedediah Mountain can be spotted from Island Lake; Buck Lake is a fine lake nearby. And that's
 
               not everything there is to do here in the Coast Ranges. On a great day at Island Lake you can take a hike along the Elk Camp Ridge Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Island Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cedar Rustic Campground. All through the summer months highs here at Island Lake reach the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's while Island Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's.

Dry Lake is NOT a good place to camp, or fish. Forest Service has failed to keep water weeds and water lilies out which is destroying the fishery. Summer days are HOT, winters cold, lots of bugs in summer. At the present rate of invasive water weeds, this lake will be a marsh bog in a few years....

The upscale RV park is in the community of O'Brien, 15 miles north of the California border, near major tourist attractions, and within 45 minutes of six lakes and three rivers. The park sits 300 feet off Redwood Highway 199, the Mystic Corridor scenic byway that connects the Redwood National Park in California with Crater Lake National Park in Oregon.
The park has 32 RV spaces in a well-landscaped area of nearly four acres, with an adjoining nature trail and creek.
