Why not stop by Isabella Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Isabella Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Jesse James Trailer Park is a great local campground, and Shirley Meadow has pleasant slopes and a friendly staff. Some of the water nearby flows, like South Fork Kern River; if you come at the right time of year, Kern River offers some fine whitewater.

| | to Isabella Lake. There's so much to do here at Isabella Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Auxiliary Dam Campground is a brilliant place for that. From a precipitation point of view Isabella Lake is a relatively normal site; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July. French Gulch is in the vicinity, and is a delightful spot.
So much amusing stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. You are close to Engineer Point if you're here at Isabella Lake, and you must beyond doubt
dedicate some time to Dutch Flat while you're here at Isabella Lake. For the period of the warm days of summer here at Isabella Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily
in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Isabella Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. While
you're here at Isabella Lake you can take a hike along the Virginia Trail, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Bull Run Cattle Drive. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Southern Sierra Nevada.
Going for a hike along the Cannell Meadow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you're sure to come across some great folks from Bakersfield here.
