This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Merced River - South Fork, and there's nice hiking along the Mono Meadow Trail. So many exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a glorious place to get some rest, and the       Buena Vista Trail offers hiking at its best. From a precipitation point of view Iron Lakes is a quite normal location; through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Iron Lakes is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Fresno Dome Campground is a great place to camp, and the peak of Iron Mountain can be made out from                  Iron Lakes. Having a good time at Iron Lakes is easy. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Iron Lakes will keep you coming back persistently. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Oakhurst Yosemite, and since you're here, you might as well visit Grizzly Pass. Lakes? Sure, Junction Lake is nearby; Willow Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing things. If you haven’t been to Yosemite National Park, you have to schedule some time for it since you're here, and spots like Cold Springs Meadow are delightful to pop by. Don't leave Iron Lakes without first going for a hike along the Chilnualna Fall Trail, and Bare Island Lake is a nice lake nearby. At Iron Lakes through the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 50's.
