Ireland Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. At Ireland Lake during the summertime highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through       the winter temperatures at Ireland Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent spots to explore along the Gaylor Lakes Trail; dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn. There's whitewater on Tenaya Creek for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a place to stay Yosemite Gateway Motel is a fine choice. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada rules! You're perhaps interested in lakes, Evelyn Lake                  is one of those nearby, and the peak of Amelia Earhart Peak can be seen from Ireland Lake. Don't leave Ireland Lake without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and you can run the rapids of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 1; you can stay the night at Tioga Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Ireland Lake.
