Indian Valley Reservoir used to be a great spot for camping and fishing.  I just stopped there a week ago, oh...no. it dries up. I drove from north shore to south in the bottom of the lake. The resort near the dam closed down, they tore down the store there. What went wrong?

     California has many beautiful lakes and Indian Valley Reservoir is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Bathhouse Trail, and after a long day outdoors Travelodge is a splendid site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Trombetta's Resort, and don't leave Indian Valley Reservoir without first paying a visit to Sulphur Spring. And if that's not enough there's loads more amusing things to do  
   in the Klamath Mountains. You can see Stony Top from Indian Valley Reservoir; get covered with water paddling on Bear Creek.
Good hiking is available along the Bucknell Trail; a nice nearby hotel is Best Western El Grande Inn. All through the summer months, highs typically are in the 90's at Indian Valley Reservoir, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's with winter lows in the
 
               30's overnight here at Indian Valley Reservoir.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Indian Valley Reservoir; Trout Creek Trail is a perfect local trail, and if you yearn for a little side journey, try Box Canyon. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Klamath Mountains. You're sure to stumble upon some great people from Clearlake here, and paddling on Cache Creek is so much fun. Be careful coming to Indian Valley Reservoir, you might not ever want to go home again. Why not camp at M and M Camp Ground while you're here at Indian Valley Reservoir, and there's some flowing water nearby, Kilpepper Creek is a stream you can visit while here.
An average amount of rainfall falls at Indian Valley Reservoir; most of the rain falls all through January; July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains.
