Independence Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. An afternoon playing golf at Tahoe Donner Golf Course is always a joy, and if you came to camp Sagehen Campground is a magnificent location to do that. Through the summer months at Independence Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's; the nighttime is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. For the period of the winter

| | highs are regularly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Independence Lake are in the 10's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cottonwood Fisherman Trail; beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Tahoe Donner.

camp here for a while, Independence Lake Campground is a good spot for that.
