Through the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Icehouse Pond. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Icehouse Pond are in the 30's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Mokelumne River; Gopher Gulch is a good place to spend some time. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby       lakes? Sure, Tanner Reservoir is near Icehouse Pond, and Bunker Hill is clearly visible from Icehouse Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Hanford House B&B Inn, and Icehouse Pond is a brilliant spot to camp, Pine Acres Resort is a brilliant spot. Far Horizons 49er Trailer Village is a great campground here, and if you come at the right time of year, Cosumnes River - Middle Fork offers some nice whitewater. Man, is there a lot of amusing stuff to do in                  close proximity to Icehouse Pond. Sutter Creek Days Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest.
