If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Ice Lakes. So many enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. Take a side journey to Upper Castle Creek; not far from Ice Lakes you'll discover Lower Lola Montez Lake which is a pretty lake. At Ice Lakes through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while Ice Lakes

a relatively wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Ice Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You just can't
picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area in the neighborhood of Ice Lakes has to offer. Hiking along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail is glorious fun, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at
nearby Long Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Long Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ice Lakes has to offer, you
can camp at Van Norden Campground. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Ice Lakes is right by the Lola Montez Trail, and there's whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork for all you adrenaline
people. You can run the rapids of Fordyce Creek close to Ice Lakes, and after a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two.
