You can run the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork near Hyatt Lake; if you get bored of Hyatt Lake you could also explore nearby Rosasco Lake. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Hyatt Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Cherry Creek - West Fork; Groundhog Meadow is right here at Hyatt Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful  
   Central Sierra Nevada.
And if that's not enough there's loads more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Looking for some flowing water? Try Piute Creek; you can spot Mercur Peak from Hyatt Lake. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Evergreen Lodge Yosemite, and a day on the slopes of Dodge Ridge is just what you need. Summer brings highs in the
 
               60's to Hyatt Lake. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Hyatt Lake tend to be in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Hyatt Lake is great fun, Cherry Valley Campground is a great local campground; after a long day outdoors Pinecrest Chalet is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you fancy a little side spree, try Louse Canyon. Hyatt Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month is July.
You're sure to encounter some smiling people from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge here; Hyatt Lake is a good spot to camp, Herring Creek Campground is a good spot.
