You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Huntley Mill Lake is not the only place close by, Nancy Lake is a close by lake; after a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Devils Peak is pretty and can be seen from Huntley Mill Lake, and Sterling Lake Campground       is a great campground nearby. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada rules! Boreal has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and if you need a spot to stay Squaw Valley Lodge is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Springs Campground is a magnificent local campground, and do take a hike on the Long Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some glorious                  whitewater, and brilliant skiing awaits you at Soda Springs. Huntley Mill Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Huntley Mill Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is mostly the driest month. For the period of the long summer days here at Huntley Mill Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Huntley Mill Lake. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Huntley Mill Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Fordyce Creek, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail.
