Not much rainfall falls here at Hummingbird Lake; most of the snow falls throughout January while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You should beyond doubt visit Dore Cliff since you're here at Hummingbird Lake, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Ruby Inn. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to return home again. There's       good hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 2; Yosemite Gateway Motel is a wonderful location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Sawmill Campground while you're here at Hummingbird Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Hummingbird Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Whitewater paddling                  is splendid on Tenaya Creek. Lakes are delightful; Alpine Lake is a lake that's near Hummingbird Lake. Good hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and close by Dore Pass is a pleasant site to go. During the summertime months at Hummingbird Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 30's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hummingbird Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Hummingbird Lake.
