Stay the night at Bunchgrass Campground, and going for a hike on the Bunchgrass Trail is always a splendid adventure. Hufford Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Pit River, and do pop by Durbin Lake, it's a delightful lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's       for you then we recommend Pit River, and there are splendid locations to explore along the Chaos Crags Trail. Hufford Lake gets lots of water; the month with most of the snow is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. Cornaz Spring is a stunning site to go to while you're at Hufford Lake, and if you have time to spare, Lassen Volcanic                  National Park is a national park worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Eiler Butte is clearly visible from Hufford Lake, and a delightful nearby hotel is Bailey Creek Cottages. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hufford Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows in the 10's for Hufford Lake. Any time is a tremendous time at Hufford Lake if you adore the outdoors. Cypress Campground is a fine campground nearby; you can go for a hike on the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail.
