It's always fun to stop by Hufford Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the Bunchgrass Trail; get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Pit River. This lake is so wonderful. Lassen Volcanic National Park is a fine spot next to Hufford Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hufford Lake; Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail is a great local trail. Thousand Lakes Valley is a good spot here at Hufford
Lake; Bunchgrass Campground is a delightful campground nearby. A large amount of rainfall falls at Hufford Lake; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. Durbin Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; there's whitewater on Pit River for all you adrenaline people.
