California has many beautiful lakes and Hufford Lake is one of them. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Hufford Lake. On a fine day at Hufford Lake you can take a hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and while you're here at Hufford Lake it's a good idea to visit Thousand Lakes Valley. This lake is so wonderful. A great spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Hufford Lake is Pit River, and Hufford Lake

| | is good enough to spend more than a day at, Bunchgrass Campground is a good local campground. A tour to Lassen Volcanic National Park is recommended, and Eiler Butte is a peak you can catch a sight of from Hufford Lake.

here for a while, Cypress Campground is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. While you're here at Hufford Lake you can
take a hike along the Chaos Crags Trail, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Pit River.
Through the summer months highs here at Hufford Lake get into the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 40's.
For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hufford Lake drop into the 10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Going
for a hike along the Bunchgrass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and after a long day outdoors Bailey Creek Cottages is a brilliant site to spend a night or two.
Hufford Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest.
