Hiking is a popular thing to do around Howell Reservoir; Rincon Fire Road Trail is a glorious local trail, and as expected, all our national parks are good sites to check out and Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is no exception. the Sequoia Nature Trail. Saratoga Springs Campground is a wonderful campground here, and if you came for an overnight stay Sanborn Park is a great site to camp. The high level of rain makes Howell Reservoir a quite wet place;
January is the wettest month with most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. A quick trip to Black Creek close to Howell Reservoir is a wonderful idea; Howell Reservoir is not far at all from San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara.
Yep, outdoors fun things to do are truly bountiful here at Howell Reservoir. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to make out at Lexington Dam near Howell Reservoir; Dyer Canyon is close at hand, and is a magnificent place. You
just have to like Howell Reservoir. All through the summer highs here at Howell Reservoir get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Howell Reservoir night low
temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Summit Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's whitewater on San Lorenzo River for all you adrenaline junkies.
