Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is a very pleasant spot to explore in the vicinity of Howell Reservoir. Yeah, come up here to the Santa Cruz Mountains for a magnificent time. San Lorenzo River is a great whitewater spot close to Howell Reservoir; a glorious place to camp here at Howell Reservoir is Sanborn Park. Go for a hike on the Summit Trail, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes?       Sure, Lexington Reservoir is just a very short distance away. Be careful coming to the Santa Cruz Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Why not check out Lexington Dam if you're here, and while you're here why not pop by Dyer Canyon. At Howell Reservoir during the summer highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's with temperatures at                  Howell Reservoir dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There are great spots to explore along the Rincon Fire Road Trail, and why not a little side journey to Black Creek. Howell Reservoir is a wet place that gets much rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Sequoia Nature Trail; from Howell Reservoir you get a fine sight of Bear Creek Summit. This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Cruz Mountains. If you need a place to stay Toll House, a Larkspur Hotel is a nice choice, and needless to say, this is a great vicinity for folks who like lakes, Lake Ranch Reservoir is a lake in close proximity. Garden Inn Hotel is a glorious place to get some rest, and a delightful place for whitewater paddling is San Lorenzo River. So much exciting stuff to do here at Howell Reservoir, too delightful to be true.
