This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors amusing things in the Coast Ranges will keep you coming back time and again. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Eel River; Howard Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Quail Meadows RV Campground is a splendid local campground. You could also pop by Grassy Lake while you're here at Howard Lake; it's nearby, and swing by Coal Creek it's       a perfect place to pop by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Coast Ranges. The vista of lovely Big Chemise Knob near Howard Lake is wonderful, and a cool spot to take a look at is Windy Point. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Howard Lake you could always look at Big Water Canyon, and there's whitewater on Eel River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline people.
