Horseshoe Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Not much rain falls here at Horseshoe Pond; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Horseshoe Pond is Hidden Harbor Marina Resort, and Antelope Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by.

| | This lake is so wonderful. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Corning is a great place to spend a night or two; pleasant hiking is available along the Graham Trail. If you're here, you might as well go to Tenmile Hollow, and whitewater paddling is fine on Deer Creek. Just can't get enough of Horseshoe Pond. is not the only place close by, Arts Pond is a close by lake. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Old Lassen Trail, and if you've had
enough of Horseshoe Pond, Norvell Pond is close by. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn-Corning, and camping is available at Driftwood RV Fishing Resort. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Horseshoe Pond. When the
night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Horseshoe Pond temperatures fall to the 30's.

 | 18 miles away Went fly fishing there for a day, it was great. Were leaving today to go on a camping trip there....Black Rock is a very beautiful place to go visit. The roads are very narrow and there are a lot of cliff sides. My grandfather lived out there for a few years on a ranch which borders the Ishi trail. I have walked the Ishi trail and that is a beautiful experience as well. It runs along a river. The whole drive in there is pretty amazing you can see the valley below plus the Big Black Rock sticking out of the ground it looks more like its own mountain.... |

O'Nite Trailer Park (with tent camping)
 | 18 miles away The O'Nite Park is located 3/4 mile east of Red Bluff near the Sacramento River just west of I-5. Convenient to Red Bluff stores and restaurants, O'Nite Park is a perfect jumping off point for side trips to white water and other Tehama County recreation areas. The Sacramento River and Reeds Creek are nearby. Sixteen miles away, Antelope Creek features a glorious whitewater paddling spot. Bidwell Mansion State Park is well worth a trip, or you might opt for getting drenched paddling on Cottonwood Creek which feeds into to the South Fork of the Klamath River. If you prefer golf you can head to the Oak Creek Golf Course...just two miles from O'Nite. There are lots of choices. Everyone loves the Woodsen State Park and along Battle Creek, the whitewater paddling is terrific. In Summer, temperatures at the O'Nite Park reach the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures during winter are normally in the 50's with nighttime lows sometimes dropping into the 30's. Rain is sporadic between mid-October and April.
