There's so much to do here at Horseshoe Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Domingo Spring Campground is a great place for that, and going for a hike along the Childs Meadows Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Lassen Volcanic National       Park, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here; the peak of Crater Butte can be seen from Horseshoe Lake. Horseshoe Lake is pretty waterless regularly; January is when you get the most rain here while July is frequently the driest month. This spot, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Stay the night at Warner Valley Campground, and hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16 is perfect fun. Having a good time at                  Horseshoe Lake is uncomplicated. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Indian Lake, and a magnificent nearby hotel is Best Western Rose Quartz Inn. So much cool stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time. Not far from Horseshoe Lake, you'll stumble on Hidden Lake which is a wonderful lake. Summertime at Horseshoe Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Horseshoe Lake.
