Good hiking is available along the Coldwater Trail; if you've had enough of Horseshoe Lake, Swan Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. At Horseshoe Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the       40's to Horseshoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Salton Sea State Recreation Area while you're here at Horseshoe Lake; if you need a site to stay Days Inn - Riverside - Tyler Mall is a magnificent choice. Horseshoe Lake is not the only place close by, Hole Lake is a close by lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Horseshoe Lake; East Horsetheif Trail is a perfect local trail. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Horseshoe Lake is                  excellent! The Joplin Trail offers hiking at its best; why not head up to Mt. Baldy and strap some skis to your feet. A glorious place to camp here at Horseshoe Lake is Mt. San Jacinto State Park; since you're here and you like golf, you can explore Paradise Knolls Golf Course.
