Why not camp at Berger Campground since you're here at Horse Lake; Deer Creek Inn is a good spot to get some rest. Horse Lake is a good place of common rainfall; January is when you get the most rain here while July is typically the driest month. Through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 90's at Horse Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the       40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Horse Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Horse Lake is right by the Butcher Ranch Trail, and a pleasant tour to Lusk Meadows is a nice way to spend an afternoon. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Horse Lake. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 offers hiking at its best, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Royal Gorge                  if you're here. Horse Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This is a pleasant area for people who like lakes. Upper Salmon Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and if you come at the right time of year, Lavezzola Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Packsaddle Campground is a pleasant spot to camp, and if you need a spot to stay Chalet View Lodge is a wonderful choice. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Nearby lakes? Sure, Deer Lake is near Horse Lake, and the scenery at Upper Salmon Lake Dam is wonderful. Near Horse Lake you locate great sites like Packer Lake Saddle, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - North Fork. Just can't get enough of Horse Lake.
