Throughout the warm months here at Horse Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 80's while night lows are typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Horse Lake. Horse Lake usually gets much precipitation; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Be careful coming to the Southern Cascade Range,       you might not ever want to go home again. Camping at Circle Seven Guest Ranch is always a glorious experience, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pit River. This lake is so wonderful. You simply ought to explore Bare Rock while you're here at Horse Lake; there are good spots to discover along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 17. A day on the slopes of Mount Shasta is just what you need, and going for a hike on the Rough and Ready Trail is always a perfect                  adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Smokey Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and float down the rapids of Pit River in a kayak. Yeah, come up here to the Southern Cascade Range for a perfect time.
