If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Hoover Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Hoover Reservoir has it all. Around Hoover Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; during February this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Inn and Suites is a wonderful choice, and there's brilliant hiking along the Winter Creek Trail. Here at Hoover Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, and some nearby water includes San Jose Creek.
This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mt Waterman, and don't leave Hoover Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Upper Winter Creek Trail.
