    The beauty of Hoover Lakes is reason enough to stop by. Be careful coming to Hoover Lakes, you might not ever wanna go home again. Camping is available at Sawmill Campground, and hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 1 is wonderful fun. A great place to camp here at Hoover Lakes is Saddlebag Campground, and on a delightful day you acquire a great view of Black Mountain from Hoover Lakes. This lake is so wonderful.

   is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and you're most likely hooked on lakes, Nutter Lake is one of those nearby. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Tenaya Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Hoover Lakes reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The winter
 
               brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hoover Lakes. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a nice place to spend a night or two. Lakes are great; Gilman Lake is a lake that's close to Hoover Lakes. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. You might want to pay a visit to Glines Canyon since you're here at Hoover Lakes; if you need a spot to stay Heidelberg Inn is a delightful choice.
