    If you are in Mono county it's always a good idea to stop by Hoover Lakes. Throughout the months of summer at Hoover Lakes temperatures are frequently in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Hoover Lakes dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ruby Inn; get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Tenaya Creek. Having a perfect time  
   in the Central Sierra Nevada is uncomplicated. If you need a location to stay Ruby Inn is a good choice, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Blue Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and Black Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Hoover Lakes. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hoover Lakes;
 
               John Muir Trail - section 1 is a good local trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Hoover Lakes. Near Hoover Lakes you find Glines Canyon which is a splendid spot to take a look at, and why not camp at Sawmill Campground if you're here at Hoover Lakes.
This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Saddlebag Campground, and great hiking is available along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Around Hoover Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
