From a precipitation point of view Homer Lake is a rather common place; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Homer Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Copper Creek Camp is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and going for a hike on the Claremont Trail is always a great adventure. These mountains rock, just explore       all the fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Bailey Creek Cottages is a perfect spot to get some rest, and Greenville Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Homer Lake, you'll come across Hidden Lake which is a beautiful lake, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork. There are other spots here than Homer Lake, for example Deerheart                  Lake, and a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Indian Creek Feather Tributary. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Rose Quartz. The warmest time of the year at Homer Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is somewhat cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Homer Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
