Little Sycamore Canyon is a pleasant spot to visit near Hollis Lake, and at Hollis Lake you always meet someone from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos. A glorious sight of picturesque Cowles Mountain is available from Hollis Lake, and camping is available at Santee Lakes General Store. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Hollis Lake. Santee       Inn is a tremendous location to get some rest; why not camp at Mulberry Loop Campground if you're here at Hollis Lake. Hollis Lake is pretty dry generally; March is the month that gets the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Escondido Creek. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Los Penasquitos Creek, and Cabrillo National Monument is one of the destinations that are great to stop                  at nearby. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Hollis Lake, for example Santee Recreational Lakes; why not a little side tour to Forester Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn SAN DIEGO - LA MESA, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Carlton Oaks Country Club is close at hand. Summertime highs at Hollis Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's.
