This lake is so wonderful. Santee Lakes General Store is a wonderful local campground; Carlton Oaks Country Club is a golf course close by. Hollis Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Mulberry Loop Campground
is a great place to camp nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Santee. The wonderful people of San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos like to hang out close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Los Penasquitos Creek.
