The beauty of Hole-In-Ground is reason enough to stop by. On a brilliant day at Hole-In-Ground you can take a hike along the Lola Montez Trail, and camping at Van Norden Campground is always a pleasant experience. A wonderful location to camp here at Hole-In-Ground is Cold Springs Campground; you're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Buzzard Roost Lake is one of those nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.

| | a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Hole-In-Ground called the Warren Lake Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Fordyce Creek. highs here at Hole-In-Ground get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Hole-In-Ground night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
Man, is there a lot of cool stuff to do in the vicinity of Hole-In-Ground. The skiing at Boreal is perfect, and dry warm beds await you at The Inn At Truckee. This lake is so wonderful. The Glacier Lakes Trail is a wonderful hiking
trail in the vicinity of Hole-In-Ground, and needless to say Lower Castle Creek flows through this neighborhood.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca is a good place to spend a night
or two; you can see Buzzard Roost from Hole-In-Ground. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is unbeatable! A day on the slopes of Soda Springs is just what you need, and if you come at the right time of year, Yuba River - South Fork offers some great whitewater.
