For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Hines Reservoir temperatures drop to the 20's. It is very waterless here at Hines Reservoir typically; through December this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. So many fun things in the       Southern Cascade Range, just tremendous. You'll discover a lovely lake called Lower Roberts Reservoir near Hines Reservoir; Pit River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. Hines Reservoir is a great location to visit for more than one day, Lava Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and Loody Springs is an inspiring site to stop at while here. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. So many exciting things to do here at                  Hines Reservoir, too nice to be true. Lassen Pines RV Resort is a great campground nearby; Splawn Mountain is clearly visible from Hines Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.
