Take a hike on the Middle Creek Flat Trail. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lakeport Lake is in close proximity to Highland Springs Reservoir; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Sulphur Creek. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. If you need a location to stay Konocti Vista Casino Resort is a glorious choice; camping at Lucky 4 Trailer Resort is always a perfect       experience. This lake is so wonderful. Skylark Shores Resort is a splendid location to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Clearlake here at Highland Springs Reservoir. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Highland Springs Reservoir has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cadd Fire Trail, and there's whitewater on Little Sulphur Creek for all you adrenaline people. Highland Springs Reservoir is a relatively wet place                  usually with a lot of precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July.
