Near Highland Springs Reservoir you come across the Middle Creek Flat Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything       Highland Springs Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Lucky 4 Trailer Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Highland Springs Reservoir gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the snow is while January is generally the driest month. Little Sulphur Creek is a fine whitewater spot close to Highland Springs Reservoir, and Highland Springs Reservoir is a wonderful site to visit for more than one day, Konocti Vista Casino Resort and Marina is a wonderful                  site to camp nearby. Highland Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and you can run the rapids of Big Sulphur Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
