If you are traveling by, why not stop by High Emigrant Lake. High Emigrant Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. High Emigrant Lake gets very little rain; January is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is July. A pleasant spree to Emigrant Meadow is a good way to spend an afternoon, and High Emigrant Lake is near Emigrant Pass which is absolutely worth a visit.

| | and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Corral Valley Trail. There's some exciting stuff to see at Middle Emigrant Dam close to High Emigrant Lake, and if you came to camp Leavitt Meadows Campground is a great place to do that. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Grizzly Peak can be spotted from High Emigrant Lake; after a long day outdoors Pinecrest Chalet is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.

Whitewater paddling is nice on West Walker River. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the vicinity of High Emigrant Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. High Emigrant Lake is right by the Early Emigrant and Indian Trail, and camping
at Deadman Campground is always a brilliant experience. Through the long summer days at High Emigrant Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are
frequently in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at High Emigrant Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's.
And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more fun stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Take a hike on the Silver King Trail; paddling on Tuolumne River is so much fun.
