If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Hidden Lake. Going for a hike on the Dan East Trail is always a brilliant adventure; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Big Lake. A great deal of rainfall falls at Hidden Lake; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. So many exciting things to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Don't leave Hidden Lake

| | without first going for a hike along the Grouse Creek Tractor Trail, and get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Trinity River - South Fork.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Hidden Lake. Camping at Slide Creek Campground is always a magnificent experience, and you obtain a delightful sight of Underwood Mountain from here. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. is Tsewenaldin Inn; there's whitewater on Trinity River for all you adrenaline people. There are good places to look at along the Blake Trail, and you need to stop at Castle Rock while you're here.

lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here; Hidden Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Gray Falls Campground is a pleasant local campground. Hidden Lake is located in the Coast
Ranges.
For the duration of the warm days of summer at Hidden Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, usually in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; night lows all through the winter for Hidden Lake tend to be in the 30's.
