Going for a hike along the Round Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and after a long day       outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. Head up to Soda Springs and strap some skis to your feet. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back home again. Get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Yuba River - South Fork, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Crooked Lakes Trail. Alder Creek is a stunning stream that is worth visiting, and there's whitewater                  on Fordyce Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Hidden Lake gets a normal amount of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. That right there is lots of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Bowman Lake, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Bowman Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. People from Truckee-Grass Valley love to come to Hidden Lake; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Royal Gorge. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. There's so much to do here at Hidden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Carr-Feeley Campground is a great spot for that, and the peak of Bowman Mountain can be distinguished from Hidden Lake. You simply should go for Hidden Lake. Lakes are good; Lindsey Lakes is a lake that's near Hidden Lake.
