That right there is lots       of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra Nevada has it all. Camping is available at Hetch Hetchy Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Pohono Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Charlotte Hotel is a perfect choice, also O'Shaughnessy Dam is worth stopping at while you're here. A splendid spot to camp here at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is Hetch Hetchy Backpackers Campground, and let's not forget                  Falls Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while here. The high level of rainfall makes Hetch Hetchy Reservoir a quite wet location; January is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back home again. Tuolumne River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Dodge Ridge while you're here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Skiing at Badger Pass is one of those things you just should do, and a delightful place for whitewater paddling is Cherry Creek - West Fork. Visiting Yosemite National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; hiking along the El Capitan Trail is wonderful fun. The warmest time of the year at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hetch Hetchy Reservoir are in the 20's. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
