A charming lake like Idaho-Maryland Reservoir in the vicinity of Herring Reservoir is a nice place to have a look at; Yuba River - South Fork is a good whitewater spot close by. Have a good hiking adventure along the Lafayette Ridge Trail; after a long day outdoors Piety Hill Cottages is a perfect location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along       the Humbug Trail is splendid fun; Faucherie - Tahoe National Forest is a splendid campground nearby. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you're a golfer then a good close by course is Nevada County Country Club, and if you're here why not stop by Eagle Ravine. Nevada City Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a magnificent time. Herring                  Reservoir is right by the South Yuba Trail; some close by water includes Gold Run. So much fun stuff near Herring Reservoir, definitely amazing. Herring Reservoir is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Aspen Group - Tahoe National Forest is a tremendous location to camp nearby, and you can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork. Herring Reservoir ordinarily gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is when it's the driest. This is a popular location for folks from Truckee-Grass Valley; lakes are such serene spots, why not go to Banner Reservoir. All through the warm days of summer at Herring Reservoir temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's.
