There's so much to do here at Herring Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Faucherie - Tahoe National Forest is a wonderful spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork in a kayak, and why not a little side visit to Gold Run. For the duration of the summer months at Herring Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.                  Highs during the winter are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Herring Reservoir. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun, and the Lafayette Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Eagle Ravine is a good place to spend some time at, and if you came to camp Aspen Group - Tahoe National Forest is a magnificent location to do that. A great deal of rainfall falls at Herring Reservoir; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Herring Reservoir without first going for a hike along the South Yuba Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Nevada City Inn. So many entertaining things to do here at Herring Reservoir, too glorious to be true.
