The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Henthorne Lake through the winter mostly drop into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Swan Lake next to Henthorne Lake, it's a beautiful lake. There's so much to do here at Henthorne Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Eel River Campground is a perfect       place for that, and it's a tremendous idea to pop by North Fork Middle Fork Eel River. Henthorne Lake is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable things to do in the vicinity of Henthorne Lake. Eel River - North Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot close to Henthorne Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Morrison Trail. From a rainfall point of view Henthorne Lake is a reasonably common place; most of the rain falls throughout                  January while July is usually the driest month. Lucky Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore, and don't leave Henthorne Lake without first going for a hike along the Buck Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Willits is a great spot to spend a night or two; there are delightful places to explore along the Wrights Valley Trail. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Klamath Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Henthorne Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hammerhorn Campground; a spree to Fern Point is always a wonderful idea. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Klamath Mountains is unbeatable!
