Hellhole Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A great deal of rain falls at Hellhole Lake; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. You don’t have to go far from Hellhole Lake to catch a sight of the water at Summit Lake Dam, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Carson River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Hellhole Lake, you could       also explore nearby Wet Meadows Reservoir; a wonderful nearby hotel is Tahoe Seasons Resort (Vri). Very delightful scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Kirkwood; Indian Valley is a pleasant site here at Hellhole Lake. What a site this is for outdoors people. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bear Valley while you're here; Hellhole Lake is not the only site close by, Upper Blue Lake is a close by lake. If you want a splendid                  time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and if you need a spot to stay Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hellhole Lake; Charity Valley Trail is a splendid local trail, and Hellhole Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lower Blue Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. People from Gardnerville Ranchos love to come to Hellhole Lake, and a perfect spot to camp here at Hellhole Lake is Middle Creek Campground. Looking for some flowing water? Try Jeff Davis Creek, and the Burnside Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Hellhole Lake through the summertime are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hellhole Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's.
