    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Hellhole Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Hellhole Lake a quite wet location; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Indian Valley is a lovely spot any time of year, and Hellhole Lake is a brilliant site to camp, Lower Blue Lake Campground is a brilliant site.  
   Kirkwood has great slopes and a friendly staff, and after a long day outdoors Creekside Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two.
Be careful coming to Hellhole Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is plentiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. You're probably into lakes, Lily Pad Lake is one of those nearby, and Bear Valley is a very popular ski area nearby. There's just no way anybody can get bored
 
               here at Hellhole Lake. Stay the night at Middle Creek Campground; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Jeff Davis Creek from Hellhole Lake is simple, and get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Carson River - East Fork. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. During the warmest time of the year at Hellhole Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Hellhole Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Woodfords Inn, and Jeff Davis Peak is clearly visible from Hellhole Lake. The Burnside Lake Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close to Hellhole Lake; Summit Lake Dam is a picturesque spot. There is a perfect hiking trail in the vicinity of Hellhole Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here.
