Why not stop by Hell Hole Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Hell Hole Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Rubicon Trail, and Squaw Valley Lodge is a great place to get some rest. | | a heap of fun things to do near Hell Hole Reservoir. There are great places to explore along the Parsley Bar Trail, and you can stay the night at Hell Hole-In Campground. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A magnificent place like Big Meadow here at Hell Hole Reservoir is too fine to miss, and if you come at the right time of year, Rubicon River offers some wonderful whitewater. Go for a hike | |

on the Hunters Trail, and do check out Hell Hole Reservoir, it's a gorgeous lake. All through the warm days of summer at Hell Hole Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are
in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Hell Hole Reservoir dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Hell Hole
Reservoir, you could also have a look at pretty Bunker Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day
is on the slopes of nearby Squaw Valley, and you can hit the slopes at Alpine Meadows around here. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. The high level of rain makes Hell Hole Reservoir a rather wet spot; January is the month that gets the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest.
