     Lake Helen is a nice lake to visit. Lake Helen is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Helen has to offer, you can camp at Sawmill Campground, and the skiing at June Mountain is good.
And that's not all the things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Lake Helen is a pleasant site to camp, Saddlebag Campground is a pleasant site, and
 
   there are other sites here than Lake Helen, for example Burro Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tuolumne River; dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Lake Helen called the Gaylor Lakes Trail; don't leave Lake Helen without first checking out Dore Cliff.
Summertime at Lake Helen arrives with high temperatures
 
               in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 30's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Helen are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 is always a great adventure, and there are nice places to discover along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling close to Lake Helen is Tenaya Creek, and Best Western Ruby Inn is a great place to get some rest.
Lundy Pass is a perfect location to have a look at in the vicinity of Lake Helen, and at Lake Helen you can spot Excelsior Mountain. Lake Helen is typically a quite dehydrated place; all through January this area sees the most snow, and October is the month with the least moisture.
