Lake Helen gets very little rain; January is the month that gets the most snow, and October meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Helen. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two; a lake close by is Twin Lakes. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.
This lake is so wonderful. Dore Cliff is an interesting place to take a look at while at Lake Helen, and dry

And if that's not enough there's heaps more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and Lake Helen
is not the only place close by, Shamrock Lake is a close by lake.
Whitewater paddling is perfect on Tenaya Creek; nearby Lundy Pass is a great site to go. Camping is available at Saddlebag Campground; get dripping wet paddling on Tuolumne River. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lake Helen without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and a day on the slopes of June Mountain is just what you need.
