But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Nearby lakes? Sure, Wolf Creek Lake is in the vicinity of Heenan Lake; the Corral Valley Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Centerville Flat Campground is a good spot to do that, and get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Carson River - East Fork. Through the       months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Heenan Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Heenan Lake. It is very dried out here at Heenan Lake regularly; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. You're most likely into lakes, Dry Lake is one of those nearby, and do go to Heenan Creek since you're here                  at Heenan Lake.
