Having a glorious time at Heather Lake is simple. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - North Fork, and if you came for an overnight stay Spring Flat Campground is a tremendous place to camp. wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Heather Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail is always a nice adventure, and camping is available at Mule Bridge Campground.
Heather Lake is located in the Klamath Mountains. The high level of precipitation makes Heather Lake a pretty wet spot; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. The Tanners
Peak Trail is a great hiking trail near Heather Lake, and from Heather Lake you get a great sight of Bear Wallow Peak.
