Go to Heart Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Castle Lake near Heart Lake, and going for a hike along the Crags Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. During the warm days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Heart Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. along the Castle Lake Trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Sacramento River. Heart Lake gets very little rainfall; all through December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake
is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Redding come to Heart Lake. A pleasant close by hotel is A-1 Choice Inn, and if you come at the right time of year, Sacramento River offers some tremendous whitewater. While you're here at Heart
Lake, you could also go to beautiful Little Castle Lake, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Echo Lake Trail.
