After a long day outdoors Bailey Creek Cottages is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hanna Trail. Having a splendid time at Heart Lake is simple. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Chaos Crags Trail; a splendid location for whitewater paddling is Mill Creek. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.       All the water falling down from the sky makes Heart Lake a wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Places like Brokeoff Meadows are brilliant to explore, and of course, this is a splendid vicinity for people who like lakes, Blue Lake is a lake in close proximity. That right there is heaps of cool things already but it goes on, the Southern Cascade Range has it all. A spree to Lassen Volcanic National                  Park is worthwhile, and hiking along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail is brilliant fun. At Heart Lake during the warm months highs are in the 90's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Heart Lake. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Heart Lake is a splendid place to camp, Dry Lake Campground is a splendid place. This lake is so wonderful.
