California has many beautiful lakes and Heart Lake is one of them. Cowslip Campground is a magnificent campground nearby; Heart Lake is right by the Chaos Crags Trail. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are wonderful places to stop at, and Lassen Volcanic National Park is no exception; at Heart Lake you can spot Red Rock Mountain. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Southern Cascade Range. Bailey Creek Cottages is a splendid spot

So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Heart Lake, too good to be true. Lakes are such serene sites, why not take a look at Forest Lake close to Heart Lake, and there are some good whitewater spots on Mill Creek. For the period of the summer highs here at Heart Lake reach the 90's while night lows are usually in the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 50's; night lows throughout | |

Lots of rain falls at Heart Lake; December is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is July. So much exciting
stuff in the Southern Cascade Range, just remarkable. Take a hike on the Hanna Trail. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail, and since you're here at Heart Lake it's a delightful idea to pop by Twin Meadows.
