Heart Lake is pretty dried up ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and June on the other hand is the driest. There's fine hiking along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. Soar down the rapids of Mono Creek in a kayak,
and Mammoth Rock is a great location to go to while in the vicinity. Summertime highs at Heart Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime

so wonderful. The John Muir Trail - section 2 offers hiking at its best; if you came for an overnight stay McGee Creek RV Park and Campground is a good location to camp.
So many entertaining things to do here in the Central Sierra
