Heart Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. You have to absolutely dedicate some time to Sky Meadows since you're here at Heart Lake; if you haven’t been to Devils Postpile National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it since you're here. Summer at Heart Lake arrives with high temperatures in the       70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Heart Lake fall into the 20's. So much fun stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too delightful to be true. Everybody close by loves skiing at Mammoth Mountain; if you're here at Heart Lake, checking out Mammoth Rock is a must. All year is a tremendous time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cold Water Campground is a great place to camp, and there's some flowing water nearby, Cold Water Creek is a stream you can explore while here. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and McGee Creek RV Park and Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. Heart Lake is generally a quite dry location; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Heart Lake. There is a pleasant hiking trail near Heart Lake called the Mammoth Rock Trail, and enjoy a round of golf at Snowcreek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Near Heart Lake you locate the Sherwin Lakes Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a good place to spend a night or two. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Heart Lake. The slopes of June Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and Snowcreek Resort is a delightful place to get some rest. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada.
