If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Hawley Lake called the Butcher Ranch Trail, and if you need a place to stay Chalet View Lodge is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. On a wonderful day at Hawley Lake you can take a hike along       the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15, and on a wonderful day you get a magnificent panorama of Mount Elwell from Hawley Lake. This place, Hawley Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Near Hawley Lake you stumble on the Eureka Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail, and an afternoon playing golf at Graeagle Meadows Golf Course is always a bliss. Paddling on Lavezzola Creek is so much fun, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Deer Creek Inn.                  This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Hawley Lake has to offer, you can camp at Ross Campground, and a fine place like Hawley Meadow here at Hawley Lake is too great to miss. Through the warm days of summer at Hawley Lake highs are mostly in the 90's, and the night is somewhat colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Hawley Lake. There are other sites here than Hawley Lake, for example Snake Lake, and Hawley Lake is a brilliant location to visit for more than one day, Upper Jamison Campground is a brilliant location to camp nearby. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Whitewater paddling is great on Yuba River - North Fork; lakes are such calm places, why not explore Spencer Lakes.
