Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Hit the slopes at Sierra Summit in the vicinity, and there are other locations here than Hatch Lake, for example Sportsman Lake. Hatch Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; during January this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Summertime highs at Hatch Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. For the period       of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hatch Lake. There's whitewater on Dinkey Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and wonderful hiking is available along the Red Mountain Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Hatch Lake. A splendid close by hotel is Snowcreek Resort, and a great place to camp here at Hatch Lake is Buck Meadow                  Campground. All the outdoors amusing things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back again and again. Lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Chinquapin Lakes in close proximity to Hatch Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hatch Lake; Bobs Flat Trail is a tremendous local trail; the sight of beautiful Brown Peak is great. This lake is so wonderful.
